Don't get this, I just installed another 2Gb of RAM to my HP DC7600 CMT P4 650 desktop computer which has an AC97 sound card and the sound went silent. I'm not getting any computer sounds, let alone music playback.
I tried restore-ing to yesterday which worked initially but sound disappeared after I ran registry booster which pops up every time computer comes back on. So I restored again to the day before and the same thing happened.
I just restored back to yesterday, all sound came back on. I thought the problem must lie with the Registry Booster though I can't see how.
So i can see that my sound is still workable, could there be anything about the extra RAM overdriving the AC97 soundcard?
Is there a simple solution to this that allows me to listen to music on this thing. Was one of the main reasons I bought it, after all.
