Audio blip converting avi to vob file

Hi,

I had downloaded some avi files where an audio is combined with photographs to in affect make a slide show. I had tried to convert them to DVD using Nero, but the audio became hopelessly out of sync with the video. Someone recommended ConvertXtoDVD and I finally gave in and bought it. The good news is that they audio and visual stayed in sync. The bad news is that little blips were added at various spots. Sounds almost exactly like the blip you get when you record over something using video tape and then stop and when you play it back the part after the recording stop looks weird, you get a blip noise and then the playback resumes normally.

There are four separate files, and I have so far listened to three all the way through looking for errors. One processed correctly. One has just one blip at almost the very end of the file. And one has a number of blips in it.

To be clear: The original avi files had no blips. The burning to DVD process does not create the blips as I played the vob files on my computer before buring and the blips are there. I am using version 2.1.4.162 and the update says this is the latest version. Also, OS : Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (Build 2600)

Looking at the log file I see that entries similar to:
Stream #1 - Audio sync at 866398.00 ms: 25.29 ms added
are listed multiple times for each file. There are 6 similar entries for the avi file that had zero blips, 3 entires for the avi file that had one blip, and 15 entries for the file that had multiple blip sounds. I see nothing that says anything about errors. Here is the part for the multiple blip file in full:

When I read up on the program before I bought it I thought I read that if there was an audio problem you could upload the original file (39MB) and they would see if they could duplicate and fix the problem, but I don’t seem able to find that information now that I am looking for it. Maybe I imaged it.

So what do you think?

Thanks

This could be just problematic file, contact claire @ vso-software.fr for info on FTP etc.
