Not with this nickname, hehe.

Just kidding.

Surely an Artec/Ultima one, old drive.

Is there a way to be sure? I found this page with some firmware updates on, but I can’t see anything that corresponds to the information I have on my drive.

No idea, from the info you posted this drive must be antique… only read cd, cd-r and dvd-rom.

Cannot see such a firmware, even here: http://etna.rpc1.org/mt/index.html

Oh well, I’d rather leave it than risk updating the firmware and crippling the drive. Thanks a lot for your help; I appreciate it.

hey guys n gals, im sure this happens all the time, but i need some help in getting my dvd drive’s firmware updated. as i saw someone else on this site had the same problem, and they seemed to get it sorted, but i understand that all of the drives are different. i also, recently bought battlefield 2 and the damn copy protection is such that drives with old firmware cant read it, so you install it dum de dum, and then BANG. you try and play the damn thing and the game decides it cant read the disc, and it dont work.
