Will the ASUS M3A78-EM support Windows 7? Newegg reviews seem to suggest others have done it but how successfully. I currently have XP SP3 Home Edition and would like to move into the 21st Century:eek:. I don't have a problem with purchasing a new mobo, but this one is less then a year old and really don't need to spend another bunch of bucks if I don't have to.
Well I would check with Asus site on their motherboard site and look at the Bios and driver software section and if they have something related to 7 then that means it supports 7. Newegg is a good place to buy parts and related software but for support and information you should check with the manufacture site for more details. Just looking at their Asus site shows it does have drivers for 7 so the motherboard would support 7 O/S x86 or x64.
I've been running Windows 7 64-bit (and beta) on a Gigabyte GA-MA78G-DS3H for over a year now without any trouble whatsoever.
As said immediately above, check the ASUS site for drivers.
I had a feeling that it would work - thanks for the quick responses. Oh and the ASUS site - I couldn't "get in" earlier today which is why I posted.
