Asus DRW-2014L1T burning problem

[qanda]This thread is about the Asus DRW-2014L1T Black. Click here to see full specs[/qanda]Hi guys, been having quite a headache with my new Asus DRW-2014L1T.

I run windows vista business 32bit, recently purchased the asus drive and installed nero 8 bundle that came with it.

Today when i attempt to burn a disk, it fails within 15 seconds of the burning process, status of burning “disc write once” and then a pop up comes up, screenshot here http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/2074/neroerrorgb7.jpg ( first time attempting to burn after getting drive)

I’ve tried updating nero 8 to latest version and the firmware for the driver it doesnt seem to fix the proble

I’ve saved the error log, hope someone can enlighten me as to what the cause of the problem is

I’ve have a read through the forum while waiting fora response if any,
if im getting the power cablibration error(see screenshot) is it due to the media im using thats bad? (using generic $15 50stack no name/brand blank dvds), which i havent had a problem with on my XP machine using a sony burner(really old , dont remember exact model)

Also its a sata connection, does DMA need to be turned on ??
