Good, they fixed it… the rebate was previously for $20…
Props to Newegg for breaking this price barrier for the BF weekend!
No other etailers have followed anywhere near this price!!

:clap::iagree:

Well, the egg giveth and the egg taketh away… now back to $70 with $20 rebate again. The $59 drive sold out quick… apparently consumers thought that was a great deal not to have to hassle with rebates.

I"m not diappointed I bought my 10x for $80 last November… it serves my needs well… however this proves my point… the price for comparable 12x drives should be $40 - $65, not $70 - $150 without any special sale.

This drive is back at $50.00. Minus the disks. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135252

Yo-

Now $89.99 with $20 rebate for a net os $69.99.

Many of the drives are now back around $80-$100… expect the prices to drop officially when HP, Dell & Lenovo release 2012 desktop lineups that have blue ray recorders standard… February, March? I’d guess $40-$65 range to be the new benchmark. I doubt any blu ray drive maker is re-inventing the wheel here… so prices should drop.

The Asus is 99.99 now. LOL.
