ASUS 24B1LT Firmware where from?

I just crossflashed my 24B1LT to lite-on drive but now I want to get it back to ASUS drive. I made a backup of the EEPROM, but I forgot to make a binary backup of my original ASUS firmware. Can I download it from somewhere or maybe send it to me at hollaholla2005@abv.bg

btw Administrators can delete my old account “Box7777”

Hi,

stock firmware is available from http://support.asus.com
No idea if you can use them unmodified.

Michael

P.S.:

I’d suggest to ask in this subforum: http://club.myce.com/f20/ There are already threads for deleting accounts or changing user names. I guess, it should be possible that you accounts can be merged. Be patient.

This link http://support.asus.com is not helping me. I need a binary file of the firmware extracted from the 24B1LT with this tool here http://codeguys.rpc1.org/utilities/Flash_Utility-6.0.1.rar and 2 MB rom size.

Do you remember which firmware the drive came with on board? I know some later revisions of the 24B1ST for example came with firmware 1.04 on board and they turned out to be iHASx24 B clones rather than iHASx24 A clones. I’m not aware of any 24B1LT models being iHASx24 B clones, but better safe than sorry.

Obviously if you successfully crossflashed your drive to a LiteOn model then you should know if its an A or a B model…

Anyway if what you’ve got is an iHASx24 A clone then here’s the 24B1LT 1.03 firmware dump: http://www.mediafire.com/?tk334lk89ke708c

Salute CVS , just what I needed. Thank you very much   :). You are the BEST.

How do I check whether I have Liteon A or B?
What Liteon will I flash 324 424 524?
Thanks.

You will need to tell us exactly which model you have and which firmware it has now? How old is it?

ASUS DRW-24B1LT 1.03

Before you do anything else, please use the flash utility and eeprom utility to make back-ups of your current firmware and eeprom.

I welcome anyone to correct me if this has changed, but LT models with that firmware were A drives.

Your choice of model cross-flash depends on what features you wish with your drive. You may use any of them. And please consider whether you really need to cross-flash the drive before you do so. No one can guarantee that you will be successful if you chose to do so.
