TDK +R DL 8X @ 6x
How would you say the Asus 22B2ST compares against others in the same price range such as the Sony Optiarc AD-7240S, the LG GH22NS50 or the Samsung SH-S223 ?
Can’t find a single review or discussion of this drive anywhere. Any input appreciated.
As a burner is better than the 223 and worst than the 7240 (i dont have the gh22ns50), as a reader is better than the 7240S and very close to the 223, it would be nice to see if this could do 16x read on dual layer media and 18x in SL media.
Maxell cd-r 48x @ 16x
BTW, have you tried reading older media i.e. CDR’s on it ? I’m still burning on the Pioneer 112D and it does a great job at that, but it can’t read some of my old CDR media, so that would be a plus.
Tomorrow i will try some old cd’s.
Verbatim -R 16x @ 8x
