Asus 1604p firmware change for pioner, ¿its true?

I need to do it this, teach me if you know how, please.

Why didn’t you post the first post in english too??

Then, them comment to all which decidi despues to give several returns me and to check things by a DVD recorder that sincerely has been of the best thing, is model ASUS DRW-1604P is 16x16 +r/-r 4x +rw/-rw with support DL to 4x, the identicas characteristics to those of Pioneer 108. When doing tests, and different benchmarks, ademas to look for like desperate all the possible information of this model of asus, me top with the surprising news that it is a device IDENTICO to Pioneer 108 speaking in all the sense of the word, and despues with a deep investigation but I knew that to pioneer it gave license to asus for the manufacture of this model, and in the unico in which they are different, it is in caratula frontal of the unit, that is to say, the printed mark (one says asus and other to pioneer smile.gif) I tested many and benchmarks, arrives at forums and sites in Russian and ingles, thanks to the good altavista I could translate post in Russian to ingles in where they explained like then turning this model of asus a Pioneer as they are identicos the unico that it changes is firmware, total I did the conversion and everything of luxury, despues changes by model PIODATA 108DX (Property to it of pioneer)con firmware the 1,18 but present one until the moment, and I obtained the following gains: * Compatibility Extended for but disc manufacturers * Support improved and optimized to different ways from writing and reading of DVD, giving but speed and quality. * Totally RPC1 therefore REGION FREE smile.gif * DVD Ripping Unlock, that is to say, ripeado Support of at MAXIMUM speed (great mayoria of the manufacturers and models limit the Ripping 2x or 4x) * Support to BitSetting (Booktype) Automatic DVD-ROM for DVD+R, +rw, +R DL, giving TOTAL compatibility to tablecloth and PC devices. And continuous support and optimization of functions for firmwares but present. In general if the original yield of my asus DRW-1604P were of very good (firmware 1,14), with these updates the horse armor flew, it is throwing to everything what dá, and I feel agusto with my purchase very. I RECOMMEND THEM, if they have the opportunity to obtain this model ahead, will already see what I say to them.

I don´t know…

 • Support to BitSetting (Booktype) Automatic DVD-ROM for DVD+R, +rw, +R DL, giving TOTAL compatibility to tablecloth and PC devices.

This is just wishful thinking.

Do you want to crossflash your ASUS to a Poneer then??

i desesperate need to burn at 2x and the media dont want…

You don’t need to burn this console backup gamecrap at 2x!

We told you already in the rpc1 forum.

Ok, you right, and why every body change the pioner fimware?
Don´t do it to can burn at speed you want?
To put a 8x media and burn at 1,2,or 2,4x?
Why ?
lower speed is not better than highest?
I always buy noble media, verbatim, ritek, sony, etc…
I burn it at 4x, and the slim models dont like.
The same dvd in a old model works really well
Repite: i have not one, not two, 8 ps2…(photos of my place in shortly, to belive)
And i have this dvdburner, i think asus is great!, dvds burn at lower speed are phenomenal, and the media is the best i can find…
The reason of my failure, the record speed…
I´m not a short thinking person, it´s my reality, i need burn dvd media 8x at 2,4x, thats all.And is so hard…
jejeje…

Some say it is better to burn the media at their rated speed.

You just cannot burn 8x rated dvd media at such low speeds.

ok, i try to doit at 8x, i hope you are right, i tell you the results tomorrow.
Thank, any way.

The pioner with the firmware patched, didn´t?
You tell me that?
I read some were, what it can burn at lower speed than rated…
Maybe i was my mistake…

If you try with the nx4all firmware from >NIL: - you maybe could.

I see no point to burn such dvd media lower than it’s rated for, but maybe you do.
