Hi,

I just downloaded and installed the latest aspi driver version 4.72 from adaptec for xp because I was having problems with a burning software. But now all my burning software wont work. How do I uninstall and go back to my previous version of whatever I had.???Thanks in advance. Bob P

Go here http://aspi.radified.com/ and read this.

get force aspi from Here then from the run command in the start menu browse to “dump aspi.bat” then from the run command browse to “kill aspi.bat” (or its kill dump.bat cant remember which) reboot, then go start> run browse to “install aspi.bat” press ok but on the end of the line put xp32 so it should look something like this “c:\ force aspi\install aspi.bat” xp32 (note the space between " and xp32) then run it.

Whilst the latest ASPI may fix Adaptec products latest glitches, all known versions other than 4.60 have not been portable to other software and cause major crashes and problems.

Get version 4.57 then upgrade to 4.60
ASPI4.57
ASPI4.60

Look, read ForceASPI1.7 and just follow the simple procedure.

ASPI 4.60 is the best and it’s been said a zillion times.
