The way to deal with wav files is insead of using tags that cannot be applied to them, is to organize them by file path.
In other words organize your wav files seperately from your mp3's
then organize them in directories or sub directories by file type (Wav)
artist and album
So for example the file path for the rush song "Hand Over Fist"
would be G:\wav files\Rush\16 Presto\010 Hand Over Fist.wav
So instead of identifying a specific file by a long convoluted name
you identify it by WHERE it can be found, like your own mailing
adress, but read backwards
Even though my mp3 files all have tags I organize them the same way.
For playback my playback software knows where to find stuff, but when I want to make copies I can grab them at different points in the file path.
So if I want a song I grab a song, if I want an album I go one step higher and grab an album folder, or an artist folder, then remove the
tracks I don't want in the compilation I'm building.
