[QUOTE=jamescooley1;2523119]The CD Tray will not stay closed. I tried cycle power, different USB cables, different USB ports, unistalled and reinstalled drivers, restarted the computer. I can not print anything because of this issue, Status monitor simply states CD Tray in use, even stays open when not connected to the computer with or without a disc in the tray. Tried different discs also. ANY IDEAS? TIA:flower:
Yikes ! After looking over the tray transports, bout all I can think of is to make sure the white alignment marks on the tray are clean and open it up and remove the insert over the paper feed and check to see if there’s anything hanging it up in there. While messing with mine to see if I could come up with anything, I pushed the tray in by hand a bit and then pushed the tray button. The panel immediately showed a critical error message “I’m going to explode in 5 seconds if you don’t power me down” , or sumthin like that . Pressed yes, powered down, and muttered a few words I’d rather not share here :o. Turned it back on, and the tray re-adjusted itself . Maybe worth a try when you’ve tried everything else and ready to pack it up .
