I was checking on ebay blu-ray discs 50 GB and saw this

10 pack original 50GB 1-6X speed printable 3D Blu Ray Disc BDR DL paper sleeves

Brand:
Verbatim
Features:
Inkjet Printable
MPN:
RITEK-DR3-000

Are Ritek DR3-000 good?

I use BRD media mostly to backup my movies.

Ritek BD-R DL media is inconsistent, but all the tests I’ve seen are with DR2 mid code: http://club.myce.com/f179/ritek-bd-r-dl-333509/

After having all my Ritek single layer discs lose data and become unreadable after a few years, I wouldn’t touch their media with a 50ft pole. But that’s just me.

I did some searching for you and found these reviews on different websites for discs with the MID “RITEK-DR3-000”.

Which drive are you going to use to burn these discs, in case you happen to purchase them?

There’s another pack,

 Brand:

Verbatim

MPN:
CMCMAG-DI6-000

have any of you used it? are they good?

Never heared of Verbatim BD-R50 with CMC-Mediacode before.
If they are “genuine” Verbatims, the should have a Verbatim branding.
I can´t see that on the sellers photos.

Hi there, done some serching for bd 50dl and came across these, do you think they are any good and who makes this brand ?

I searched customer reviews @ amazon worldwide, found only some @ amazon.co.jp.
The mediacode of the discs is mentioned nowhere :frowning: , but there are many one star reviews.
That indicates for me, that they might be RITEK DR3. If that´s true, avoid at any cost! :a
Other possibilities are CMCMAG DI 6, which can be very decent in Pioneer writers from BD-R206 on, or VERBATIMf which I would avoid, too.:Z

Even if there is a “Made in Taiwan” sign on the spindle, all of the three mediacodes mentioned above are possible, because CMC manufactures VERBATIMf now, too.

If they are made in China, they could be TDK.

Thanks Katraine (and star of the week in my humble opinion), I will stay clear of those.

Hi-Disc BD-R DL 50GB x6 \ Hi-Disc BD-R DL 50GB x6 Printable
There is only BD-R DL since RITEK MID: RITEKDR3

#13

Does that mean Hi-DISC BD-R DL 6x are definitely RITEK DR3?

If that´s true, I would add them to our database.
