Are these values okay for an 18x burn on MCC004?

Hi,

I have a brand new drive, a Samsung Serial ATA 183 device, and used KProbe for the first time, so I am not sure if I did everything right, and the results are okay. So, here is what I get, looks quite good to me, but what do you think? Results okay, or should I select different settings in KProbe? I am only used to CD-Speed, which seems not to support my new drive.

Sure. It’s good.
Especially considering that it was a high speed scan.

Apply the registry hack to use Nero CD-DVD Speed with your new Samsung (remove SAMSUNG and TSST/TSSTcorp from the Blocked Drives entry).

Thanks kg_evilboy, can you tell me where to get that hack?

Thanks alot,

That’s nice, about what I get with MCC004 @ 18x on my SH-S182D

Would be good to see jitter levels as well but the error levels posted are quite low.

#6

Can the 183 scan jitter? What do I need to select?

#7

IIRC only LiteOn can give meaningful jitter results, with DVDScan or Nero CD-DVD Speed.
