Are these TY DVD+R?

Saw these DVD+Rs for sale in the UK at around £1 per disc.

Are these made by Taiyo Yuden? Do Maxell change manufacturers regularly, like Verbatim (meaning that I might not actually get TYs)??

Thanks
Chez

Also found these -R Verbatim Pastels for 95p each. Am I correct in saying that these are TY as well?

The box seems to say “Advanced AZO” in the lower left corner which makes me think not.

Yes, you are, since they are TY.

So they’re both TY… Thanks BoSkin.

Do you know if Maxell change they’re manufactures a lot or am I likely to get TY, even if the pic on the site is old?

@chez: Have a look at the packaging when you buy the spindles. That picture of the Maxell cakebox shows all of the typical “trademarks” of Taiyo Yuden packaging.

Thanks terminalvelocd.

Only problem is that I’ll be buying over the net, so can’t see the actual pack I’m getting.

I would go into a shop if I could but I’m sure that here in Northampton (UK) there wouldn’t be anywhere selling TY disks and if they were, they’d be £3 each!! lol

Is it definite that all Verbatim Pastels are TY?

Thanks
Chez

Yes, it is. “Made in Japan” as I saw it with my very eyes.
