My company has a process by which we burn data to a CD. Currently someone has to 1) open an external application to format a blank CD for packet writing, then 2) open our custom application that writes the data, 3) then they must close the session into a standard CD readable format using the packet writing software again. I want to eliminate all these steps by programmatically performing the format and session closing in our main app. Current we use Roxio, but it has no programmable API that I can find, so we are looking at Nero. I downloaded the SDK but it appears to be more geared to writing audio files. I see no API to format for packet writing, etc. Nero seemed like the answer but now I’m not too sure if the API has the functionality I need. Can Nero do this? and if not, are there any packages that offer this type of API? Thanks
If you wish to simply copy files to the CD, or can rewrite your app so that data is stored in files on the C drive and then written the to CD at intervals then Nero can achieve what you want.
