maybe they will surprise everyone and have 4x for both DL DVD+R and DL DVD-R. Wishful thinking. But you would bet anything dual layer on the -R side will be debuted by Pioneer.

I doubt it’s AOpen’s “own design”. At Cebit they showed the DUW1608/ARR and I have a feeling the Rs stand for Ricoh.
