More than glad to offer any help I can, but first I have to understand the question.
If I could take the liberty of telling you how I read your post: "tried making a backup of Hotel For Dogs" - OK - clear enough... "a lot of the titles...started with 1:07 time, it quickly went to like 20 min...and counts down slowly for the rest...when using DVDShrink" - how did this program come into this post? and what bearing does it have on what DVDFab does?
"It decrypts in roughly 20 min. with Fab so that's not the issue" - then just what is the issue? the fact that Fab takes 20 min. or that DVDShrink takes 1:07? "I just installed 220.127.116.11...just a pinch faster" - than 20 minutes? or 1:07?
Depending on the structure of certain copy-protected DVDs, copying can take a little longer than usual (usual is a relative term related to your system, CPU and other factors, determined by the time a disc takes to decrypt with little or no structural protection).
Without any further details, all I can suggest at this point is to make sure your source DVDs are clean before you start, and to suggest you play a bit with pathplayer to see if that makes a difference. Some discs, it seems, and I've run across some, will take a while, no matter what you do...it seems to come with the territory.
