Ha bought a 109 to replace a liteon dvd/cdrw
made the wrong choice then
Unfortunately all i can do is agree with you, i bought my 108 and now my 109 purely to burn -R not +R or CDR (never even burned a +R in any of my pioneers), Pioneer imho make the best -R burners going, if you want a good CD burner go and buy a plextor premium, if you cant afford one or justify the price of one buy a cheap Liteon, if you want a good +R burner go and buy an LG, Benq or Liteon.
Buying a cheap lite on isnt answer, we paid for a 109 and it should work
I agree that it should burn nicely to CDR but the reality is it doesnt hence the reality of needing to purchase a CD-RW
i not even use it for cdr, i got a real nice teac combo, i had a loan lite on and there crap, noisey and didnt burn cdrw at 32x even with new Fw trying to fix, i read in forums it does fix for 650MB 32xcdrw, but who uses 650MB discs in 2005 mines are all 700MB.
Anyhow if i got cdr or cdrw to do i burn at 52x and 32x in my teac, BUT i still want my pioneer fixed or replaced.
I would love nothing more than to have a single drive that is perfect at everything, but the fact is it doesnt exist, atleast not yet anyway.
