I didn’t have to reboot either,but haven’t done that for a long time when updating AnyDvd HD…
There are some filter drivers in the optical stack that make a reboot necessary on occasion

Installed over 126.96.36.199 and didn’t restart but I restarted anyways.
Never ever had to restart.
Including on fresh install.
Just click on RedFox - Exit program - Restart program.

If the program says “You may have to restart”: sometimes you and sometime you do not. Its a driver thing.
