Does anyone know what Anydvd ‘safe mode’ really does? – there is no documentation for this at all. It just says “for those who have problems”
some more info please? I have to use it on my machine so I’d like to know… tks

hey thanks for the replies guys but neither of those is really what I am lookin’ for.
as for the FAQ… it doesnt say anthing, just “use it if you have problems” like i said in my above post.
and the right click thing is cool 
, but again, what I really want to know is, what exactly is different about running in “safe mode”-- not just that it wont work with pinnacle…
I mean, behind the scenes… is it slowing down my computer, causing any other problems, any other drawbacks or limitations, etc etc… this is what I am after.

Well, it says “Enable it, if your PC behaves strange after the installation of AnyDVD
(conflict with other SW or drivers)”, which is what’s happening in your case.

Start > Run > In the Open box, type msinfo32.exe > System Summery >
go through/check statuses in Hardware Resourses ( DMA, I/O, IRQs ) & Components
