AnyDVD problem

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to use AnyDVD (trial version atm) to create an iso of a ps2 game (2-disk, region 2 PAL). I’ve loaded up AnyDVD and I get a bubble which says it’s scanning the disk. How long is the scanning supposed to take?
I leave it for at least half an hour and get no message coming up saying it’s done, and when i try to create an image it says drive isn’t ready! Its a standard PC DVD reader that has no problem reading region 2 DVDs normally. This is what comes up in the status box in settings:

Summary for drive E: (AnyDVD
DVD-16X DVD-ROM BDV316G 0C16 2
Drive (Hardware) Region: 1

Media is a DVD.
Booktype: dvd-rom (version 1), Layers: 1
Total size: 2273776 sectors (4440 MBytes)

can anyone help? Is it just not reading the disk?

Mark, UK

I never tried to rip a game disc with AnyDVD, but if I’m not wrong it is not suited for games, but only for video DVDs.

To create an ISO of a game you need a different software, like CloneCD (that is also able to work with DVD media despite of the name :)) or Alcohol120%.
