80gb Maxtor (7200rpm) &
40 gb Maxtor

Secondary IDE Channel

I have my dvd defaulted to R1 - (1change left)

I close all programs down and disable the screensaver, open Windvd 4.0 and play a dvd any (R2) with Anydvd running in the background and the dvd loads, it will play a second then the video freezes and the sound continues (but jittery).

The same occurs with drive defaulted to R2 and playing R1 dvds.

Any help would be really appreciated, I know dvd region free works - but I have paid for this and the specs for this software out weighed the Region Free.

Kind Regards,

GJC

I am not that much of an expert, but it seems to me your problem is not AnyDVD.

Test it. Open the DVD with Windows explorer an try to copy the VOBs files into your HD. If you can then AnyDVD has broken the protection code.

Also try decrypting woth DVDdecrypter free
http://www.dvddecrypter.com/
(supportware), create an iso file with it then play the iso file with daemon tools freeware.
http://www.daemon-tools.cc/portal/portal.php
This method is slower, and requires your dvd in your hd, but it’ll let you know if AnyDVD is the problem.

Also make sure, that in AnyDVD you set the region of the DVD you are using, (not the DVD player’s region).

Good luck

The problem I believe is with AnyDvd (in part) -

To quote their website “AnyDVD is a driver, which descrambles DVD-Movies automatically in the background”

Well it wont play dvd’s R1, or R2, with either my drive matching the coding in the settings or otherwise. Software used: WinDVD4.0 and InterActual player.

I have used DVD Decrypter this worked with The League of Extraordinary Gent (R1). without Anydvd running - but only after I changed my dvd drive region to match.

AnyDVd would not work with Dvd Decrypter when my Dvd Drive region was on R2.

This is starting to become a dissapointment for me, I will try and contact AnyDvd Tech support for an answer or refund tonight.

Yuyito,

Thanks for your advice,

What version do you use?

The most recent ver. I think it is 3.0.1

(I downloaded it a few days ago from the slysoft website)
