I just read a posting in a newsgroup in which some guy claims that the new version of AnyDVD 'phones home'.
The posting is already on Google:http://groups.google.com/groups?ie=UTF-8&as_umsgid=%3C165539f2.email@example.com%3E&lr=&hl=de
I suppose that's paranoid crap, or does anyone experience the same?
AnyDVD is not spyware,
the new version of AnyDVD 'phones home'
Is a selectable feature where one can enable AnyDVD to check for a new version or not.
As mentioned, it is a user selectable feature, the only reason I can see for people not enabling it, is if they have slightly dubious versions of the app
DON'T ANSWER! OR DISGUISE YOUR VOICE! lol
or like me they don't want the connection controlled by a piece of software, I hate apps that dial out and am glad that AnyDVD has the option to disable this.
