I was in the process of recoding a 6-gig DVD (home movie capture) when I had to leave. I don't quite trust my external drive enclosure and I don't want to burn my house down, so I paused Recode and turned off the drive.
I was gone longer than anticipated, about 2 hours. When I got back I turned on the drive, waited for it to be recognized, and then unpaused Recode. Almost instantly I got a message that the DVD compiling had failed because Recode couldn't read the directory.
Now the DVD structure seems to be corrupted. I get a message about corruption in Recode, and PowerDVD can't play the movies.
Is there a way to rescue this DVD?
EDIT: Never mind, I'm pretty sure it's my stupid enclosure. Now it says the whole drive is unreadable.
