Any problem ripping "Weeds"?

Probably got a defective disc, just wondering…?

Anyone, anyone, anyone?

Can you post the anydvd info in the window also stateing what you are useing to try to copy and version numbers would help.

If you suspect that you may have a “Bad” Source Disc
Inspect the Disc and try cleaning it - even if it doesn’t look like it needs it.

If this doesn’t prove successful …
Use the VSOInspector to scan the Disc ( it’s Free )
http://www.vso-software.fr/products/inspector/inspector.php

If the Inspector reports "READ Errors"
Then you’ll know that you’ve come across a “BAD” Source Disc .
I would then suggest that you acquire a different copy
… and compare your results .
You’re not having any trouble with other Discs , Right ?

Sorry, not exactly sure what you’re asking for but its “Weeds” Season 1, Disc 2." - Hopefully this is what you mean…:

And you’re useing what to actually burn the DVD?

Yes this is part of what I was asking for.

Oh, yeah, sorry… - DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15

Shrink gives CRC errors at various parts of the rip. - 32%, 46% & 64% out of 3 tries.

I’m running VSO Inspector in the background right now and its coughing at around 32% too… - 7 “Problem” sectors and 1 “Error” sector so far.

OK thanks it sounds like the disk is dirty or is a bad press however these errors are know due to new encryption as well. Give clonedvd a shot and see if it corrects it or try just ripping the disc first. If that fails too turn off anydvd and get the IFO files and zip it into one file and send it to slysoft support.

Will do, thanx doc! (And yeah, I’ll give a new clean disc a shot before upping the IFO’s.)

Thanx again!

Update:
(Short version): Obtained a new copy of the movie, ripped fine.

(Long version): New version of disc ripped using the following method:
Obtained latest MS Vista RC1 (Build 5600)
Latest AnyDVD installed
DVDShrink 3.12 installed
Nero Burning ROM v6.0.0.0 installed (OS gives app compatibility warnings.)
Ripped to ISO w/ DVDShrink (“Edit” / “Preferences” / “File I/O” / Uncheck Nero)
Select “Backup!” in Shrink, change target to “ISO Image File” and rip.
After rip is done, open Nero, navigate / open the ISO and burn.
