any news about M/B with DDR3 and SLI?
I have heard about nVidia 7xx(780i and 790i)
any body knows when?
and what about intel X48 will it be DDR3 and SLI?

The NVIDIA nForce 7##i series chipsets are due to be on motherboards which are set to ship during the first quarter of 2008.

As for Intel, however, its own chipsets will not natively support NVIDIA’s SLI protocol for the foreseeable future. The X48 and X38 chipsets still support only the AMD/ATi CrossFire protocol for linked dual graphics cards.

And why do you want DDR3 now? You see, DDR3 memory still costs four to five times more money per GB than DDR2 memory at this present moment.

Not to mention there is little/no performance increase, ddr2 vs. ddr3 currently.
