Hey guys, over the past year i have on and off tried to back up some of my dvds, i've used all sorts of softwares, such as clonedvd, imgburn, i've tried using software with anydvd, dvd43 etc. with some of these attempts i have been able to produce dvd's that work on my Panasonic DMR-E50, PS2 and home pc, however i have never managed to produce a disc that will play in my living room on my Pioneer DVR-5100H, the most modern of my dvd players, which has Hard Disk recording capability aswell as dvd recording.
So i assumed that i just wouldn't be able to create a dvd that would work on the pioneer, until a few weeks ago my mate came down and lent me a copied version of one of his dvd's for me to watch. His version was clearly a copy, but worked perfectly on my pioneer. I asked him what software he used, but he said he used software on linux to copy it, and i don't have linux.
The most recent successful copy i made for the Panasonic, was by using DVDFab, DVDShrink and imgburn. This didn't work on my pioneer however.
Now that i know copied dvd's can be played on my other dvd player, i'd like to know how to do this, any tips?
