I have recently purchased Samsng Corby II (S3850). Can you please suggest an antivirus that I can install on my mobile?
Thanks in advance.
What’s the OS?
I suggest trying here
@ Mr. Belvedere: It is samsung proprietary operating system.
It´s a version of BADA I think, but at the links I provided there are several anti-virus options available for this phone.
@ ajd112: Have you checked them out?

But the Corby 2 uses Android OS v2.2! …
Weirdly I´m finding different “opinions” about that.
One website says it´s got Android
while another says it´s running Bada.
Even found one site where someone asks if it´s possible to install Android over the top!
A quote from one:
The Samsung S3850 Corby II enjoys many of the usability-enhancing features of the Bada OS and, unless you’re an app predator, you won’t miss a smartphone OS very often.
You won’t have access to the rich Android Market or even Bada’s apps store, but there’s still a good selection of Java apps (Opera Mini, Google Maps, even an official Facebook app) and even games. Samsung Apps will come in handy here.
<-- this may indeed mean there is a problem finding a suitable antivirus program! I have also looked at Samsung´s Apps website…a quick search came up with no references to Kaspersky…
I think I´ll walk down the street and ask my local mobile phone dude to show me one…
PS…just for Mr B…some crap in German…I think you can handle this

@ajd112 Here´s a possibility from the above link…check it out and let us know

Tell you what… Try calling Samsung and see what they advise?
@ Deanimator: thanks mate. yup. i checked those sites. But the reviews there were showing that the apps were fake. can you suggest any other site?
@Mr. Belvedere: On my phone box, it is written Native SNS. Does that mean something about the operating system?
As for the info from the sites, I am equally confused. They are telling that it runs on Android/BADA/proprietary OS and god knows what more.
More options here http://www.all-freeware.com/results/antivirus/for/bada/phones
I am using AVG Mobilation (free) on my HTC (Android). However, other than taking up memory space, I haven’t found the antivirus program useful for a smartphone.
Could be worth looking into:
I don’t think Corby can have a huge space for anti-virus.
Antivirus Free from Creative Apps is 403kb…so I don´t think that space is a problem.
