Another Microsoft u-turn on XP

Microsoft has extended Windows XP’s availability for another six months. Large computer manufacturers will be able to “downgrade” machines from Windows Vista Business or Vista Ultimate to Windows XP Professional until the end of July 2009, said the company.

So what else is new…I figure they would do this…as seems like Vista isn’t been the seller they been touting.

It looks like they are going to keep XP alive until Vista’s replacement is out the door. My guess is that if they kill XP before then it will cost them market share to another OS.
