Annoying 'Face' logo removal!

Greetings all,

Do any of you know how to remove a logo from a dvd? To explain I have an import version of Hero, and for some insane reason the distributor in question (Face) have deemed it necessary to plaster their logo in the corner of the screen every five mins or so throughout the movie making it almost impossible to watch due to its distractingness.
In any case I've reason to believe that it isn't actually watermarked on the movie. In my weak attempts to reauthor it, i and was watching the preview mode while iit scanned through the movie and didn't see the logo appear or flash once. Either that or it was going too fast but don't think so.
In any case any of you know of a way to get around this? (and please don't say 'buy a better copy!' lol. Hmm thats probably the easiest solution other than the fact I've already spent $15 on this a year and a half ago)..

This is not retail pressed DVD then, IMO.

Maybe, seems it though. Its a region 3 chinese import version (I'm a bit anal about movies being cut so end up ordering other region versions). The packagings all in chinese and has a little hologram thing on the top left.
In any case in further close study I've discovered that the logo is part of the subtitles. (it disappears when I turn them off and re-appears when I turn them back on). Sooo with that in mind will just have to see about getting into the subtitle files and remove whatevers calling it up (not sure if its that simple).

So this brings me to another question, what program would I use to re-burn it with altered subtitles?!
