With mobile users being a significant part of our visitors, it certainly can be considered broken. The reason we’re going with the new technology is that it helps in speeding up development.
One of the benefits is that if you some of you don’t like it, I can easily make some options so you can leave out or add stuff you want or don’t want.
As I wrote, also social media is big new source of traffic for sites (including us) and better integration became a priority.
The current design was a mess and not scalable. It was also hardly possible to add anything new anymore. The new design has been written pretty much from scratch and provides a platform to build on.
@Cholla, the site will automatically adapt to whether you’re visiting from a desktop, tablet or mobile (it’s called responsive). So everything will be big and full featured if you’re on a desktop, on mobile and tablets it will be optimized for mobile…
I guess you’ll see tomorrow, nevertheless, whether it’s positive or negative, I look forward to more feedback tomorrow. I will try to add a decent amount of things to pick from so that it’s to the liking of most of the people.
