Amazon gives away $40 Oxford Advanced Learner's dictionary (1st Aug only)

For those who have a Kindle Fire or use the Amazon App store, they’re giving away $100 of apps, with the main one of interest being the Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary, which is usually $40. This dictionary speaks out the word of actual recordings in British or American accent for pronunciation.

It has a few others that may be of interest, such as WiFi file explorer, which allows the Kindle’s file system to be browsed from a PC web browser to download/upload files without using a cable.

For those into anatomy, they’re also giving away Essential Anatomy 3 which presents detailed graphics of the human body such as muscles, nerves, skeletal and son. This normally retails at $24.

To access the list, go to the Appstore on and this offer should appear in the right banner. The offer started yesterday and runs until the end of today (Friday 1st August).

WiFi File Explorer Pro is a great app for any Android device, not just Kindle. Its also free ATM.

THX for the info and the links, guys!:flower:

All the apps downloaded and installed fine on my Nexus 5, so as CDan said, these deals are good for any compatible Android device. All you need to do is install the Amazon App Store and then in the security settings of your device, allow apps to be installed from places other than the Google Play Store. You only need to allow that while you’re downloading and installing. Once you’re finished, you can disable it again until the next deal.
