I just successfully ripped All the Kings Men using Ripit4me, a free program gotten here:
The reason I mention it as I understand some Anydvd users are having trouble ripping this movie. So I mention this as an alternative to backing up the movie, should you like to do it now, rather than waiting for the IFOs to be analyzed and an Anydvd update issued.
I just successfully ripped All the Kings Men using Ripit4me, a free program gotten here:
(got it to work after much trial and error)
That was informative!
Whats an “it”?
For your info, ripit4me works on this movie in both the Full DVD and the Movie only modes.
Also, it worked for me in both modes without any trial and error problems.
BTW, in viewing the logs, there appears to be lots of protection in vts_02_1.
The reason I mention it as I understand some Anydvd users are having trouble ripping this movie.
Anydvd 18.104.22.168 works fine with this title with the setting “remove annoying adverts and trailers” enabled, regardless of whether you preserve the menus or don’t.
If you just want to back up the main movie, you don’t need this option enabled in Anydvd 22.214.171.124.
jamoskeag3, did you try to play it back?
ripit4me successfully rip it to Full DVD but the warnings play in loop. So it’s a no go for me.
ripit > vob> dvd rebuilder. I did not keep the warning, just Vobblanker before dvd rebuilder and it look great
You had to use Vobblanker?
Seems like Ripit4me needs some upgrading too.
I dont keep the fbi warning and some other little stuff, is any dvd take out the fbi warning on the fly? I always use vobblanker to take other stuff out that I dont really care.
so any DVD will keep main menu, main movie and extra only not the fbi, the R rate all the little stuff that I dont care?
Ripping All The King’s Men with Ripit4me, allowed you to find the warnings with VobBlanker?
I was unable to find them after ripping with AnyDVD. They were of course there somewhere, as they played in the loop. Not sure if the problem was me or AD.
Can you direct me to where the warnings are located on this disk?
of course I find it after ripit, I dont use any dvd so I can’t answer you
and ofcourse many member here like to fight more then helping others, I will just keep reading.
this is my last post
Ok NightTran. Hope you didn’t misinterpet my post. I did not disbelieve you, but was asking for help, as I could not locate the warnings, and spent a conciderable amount of time looking for them.
I delete it, now I just rip again with ripit almost there, VTs 04 and 06, I dont blank the last PGC
Anydvd doesn’t actually remove anything. It just makes you skip past that stuff on playback–if you want.
so it still there and would not help if I use DVD Rebuilder?
You would need Shrink, Rebuilder, Clonedvd2, Recode, or whatever to remove it, depending on where it may be hidden, yes.
Andvd doesn’t actually remove trailers. It will just make the disc not play them. If you want to remove stuff you have to use another application. Anydvd does not burn either. For more information visit
Did you really mean 5097 or 6097?
It depends on where the warnings are located. Sometimes they are imbedded into the main title set, and must be removed with something like VobBlanker. They may also be in their own individual title set, and can then be easily removed with most DVD copying software.
I don’t think DVDRebuilder has the capability to remove individual cells.
