Alcohol Disables My CD-RW!

Did it happen to you? I can’t use my CD-RW since I installed Alcohol 120% I tried uninstalling EVERYthing except my operating sys (XP) but still won’t work. and I can’t backup cause the CD-RW won’t work. Any help?

I had the same problem. I had to update my aspi layer. All is good now.

hey, that’s good but how do you do that?

this is the latest release, but some would say that version 4.60 is better, I have no trouble with this latest release.

This is a shame because Adaptec ASPI-dependent programs are ignoring the built-in SCSI Pass Through Interface provided by MS in WinXP. If Alcohol, or any other late-release program, is relying on a Third-Party program, is this a good or bad thing?
