Adding a wired desktop to a wireless network?

I’ve got a Compaq Presario V5000 laptop with WLAN, and it’s wirelessly connected to my router, which is also connected to my dad’s XP desktop (yes, I’m a teenager working on connections-- whoo), so I already have a network between those two computers.

I also have an XP desktop that has no internet access because it obviously doesn’t have a wireless internet card. and I don’t need it to have the internet, since it was my primary computer before I got a laptop with wireless, so I use it for programming (php, mysql-- the basics; pretty much using it as a server and an external hard drive).

So my problem is, how can I connect my old desktop to my laptop?
both of them have ethernet and phone jacks, if that helps.

great! thanks for your help

Or buy a wireless card for your desktop, they even do pritty fast USB2 wireless stuff now that just pluggs in.
