I just upgraded my two computers with new CD-drives and DVD-drives. Each got four new CD-drives: Plextors, Lite-Ons, LG-Electronics, Otorite, and BTC. All kinds of sample software came with the new CD-drives, including Nero
Nero Cover Designer comes with a ton of pre-defined CD-Labels from which one can choose......The label I use is the Neato 2-Up (Letter) Full-Coverage label.....These sell for 10-cents each at X-mass time, with free shipping, and I usually buy 1500 labels then.....So, I always have hundreds on hand
The Neato full-coverage label use to mean that the label went all the way out to the very outer edge .....And previously had the large 1.5-inch hole in the center (surrounding the spindle hole).
But Neato has changed their 2-Up Full-Coverage label so that the center now goes all the way inward to the spindle hole.....
To use Nero, I need to add label stock to Nero that is the same as what Nero lists for Neato 2-Up, but modified so that the inner hole is only a half-inch diameter.....I have not found any info on how to do this as yet..........Otherwise, I have to stay with the NeatoFACE labeling software
For the record, My first Nero was 5.5.8.or 5.5.9 - - forgot which. It came with my Sanyo 24x16x24 CD-burner then......I have always been dispointed in Nero because of its poor Cover Design capability.....The major drawback was the inability to import Notepad text into the CD-label text-box, as one always has to re-type everything - - A nightmare for the poor typers.....Other drawbacks were the inability to simply divide the CD-label into left and right text-boxes, so that one could easily list 20 to 30 songs on the Cd-label itself, without screwing-up the background image.....Another drawback was adding a text-box on top of a text-box (say add a foot-note summary), as the background picture was often lost........To me, there has been no significant improvement in Nero Cover Deisgner since my first Nero years ago, and thus Nero has not really interested me .......InkJet printer ink is very, very expensive and nowadays most users want only one label, the CD-label, but with everything listed thereon......I do not know too many people that use the Jewel case labels often.
