Hello all! :flower:
I have a problem. I own a AD-7200S drive and it can read almost anything (from original DVD games, to music to burnt DVD's and CD's) but it REFUSES to play DVD movies.
When I insert an original DVD (tried many different ones) the drive starts responding, the light flashes and my cursor gets that disc icon like it's reading. It does that for about ten seconds with a (sorry for the funny description :o) ''tk-tk-tk'' sound and then it stops. When I open it in My Computer it shows up empty.
The drive is about 3 months old, used only twice for reading (it was in my backup computer). Tried flashing it with AD-7200S Firmware 1.09 (original and RPC1) from Liggy's and Dee's page and no success.
Installed ASPI 4.71.2 (frankly don't know if I needed to do that, at this point I would do just about anything), set my region code to 2. I also provided some screenshots from Nero info tool.
My configuration is as follows
Win XP SP2
QuadCore Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, 2400 MHz (9 x 267)
MB Asus P5Q-E (2 PCI, 2 PCI-E x1, 3 PCI-E x16, 4 DDR2 DIMM, Audio, Dual Gigabit LAN, IEEE-1394)
MEM 2048 MB (DDR2-533 DDR2 SDRAM)
GRAPHICS ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series (512 MB)
HDD Hitachi HDT725025VLA380 (250 GB, 7200 RPM, SATA-II)
HDD Maxtor 6L200M0 (200 GB, 7200 RPM, SATA)

If you need any more information I'll provide, of course.
Please, if you have any ideas, help me.
