Hi!
I just want ask what protection is in Serious sam european version?
I think that can be SD2, because there was 811 errors in the start of cd… and scanners can’t find protection on cd?!
I tryed to scan sd with clony instructions but still nothing…

I’m interested because I have Mitsumi 4804TE and that driver “normaly” can’t copy SD2 but if it can now, that would be cool!

Gamecopywold only have “usa and english” info but not middle scandinavian info…

Can someone tell about what protection thay have in they serious sam???

Thanks!

I don’t think it has SafeDisc 2 because this type of protection has about 10.000 errors on the first 5% of the disc (same as the normal SafeDisc). Have you tried the latest version of Clony ?

In “normal” SD protection have max 1440 errors in first 3% of CD!

Those errors are between 0-10000 sectors and between errors is 3 or 2 normal sector, no error sectors!

So this can be SD/2 protection but I’m not sure…

I use Clony 1.07 (newest english language version)

Before this that is scanned allmost every cd but not all SD2 games…

You can calculate errors using blindread and there is number of errors if cd contains errors!

But thanks anyway G@M3FR3@K!

According to information found on isonews it has just a simple cdcdheck.
If you cannot read the cd it means it is physically damaged.

In the new safedisc protections you can’t see what protection they use anymore. You have to install it first because the safedisc program is packed inside the installer program.
I think it is safedisc 2 you have.
if you want to make a copy from the cd, then just copy the content’s of the cd in a map on your harddisk with windows explorer. Normally the installer program is not safedisc protected. Burn the content in the map to a new cd.
install from this burned cd. Then use the program Unsafedisc 2
to remove the cd check from the main program.
Your program will now run, and also will run and load then times faster! It’s better to remove the safedisc protection then try to copy this crap again.

I just dl’d Serious Sam last night from and cut it to a cd. I didnt see any protections on it anyway, and apparently the person that ripped it used Winimage and I burnt it using cdrwin.

I just dropped it in the drive and looked it at, I dont see any of it.
But it does have a cd-check. Other than that I dont see it
