About RW Technology

I recently started looking around at CD-RW media, and I noticed that the only 32x CD-RW media I could find was from Verbatim/Mitsubishi chemicals.

According to this article, “stable amorphus marks” are difficult to create at high speeds, so 32x was some kind of special achievement for CD-RW media.

How about DVD±RW media then? Is there also this “amorphous mark” problem with burning DVD±RW media at high speeds?

How fast does the DVD spin at 8x anyway? Relative to a CD-RW spin rate?

Thanks for your attention.
