About dvdshrink and dvd decrypter

I don’t understand why people use dvd decrypt, then dvdshrink?

The iso file dvd decrypter produces is the same as dvdshink? No?

DVD Decrypter does not compress(shrink) a source DVD,it only rips it…
say if you rip a flick that is DVD-9 in size with DVDD, you’ll then need shrink( to compress) and to backup to DVD-5 size if that is your goal…Hope that helps…However yes you can try just using Shrink for the total task…

ahhhh I see, thanks a lot!

: )

Also just so you know both dvd decryptor and shrink are no longer being updated so they are unable to handle the copy protection that is out now. You can use dvdfab hd decryptor which is free and then use dvdshrink to shrink the movie to fit a dvd5 disc.

Yes indeed…:iagree:
Having said that, I personally find both DVDD and Shrink indispensable tools in my arsenal…

Thanks… as you can see I have all that under control :stuck_out_tongue:
