Wow. So, in other words she’s pioneering a new way for artists to release music without the help of record companies? If so, all I can say is it’s about time. These artists are often broke, not because they aren’t successful enough, but because Hollywood hates paying its own artists. So, it’s no surprise that many celebrities are making less than minimum wage, which has been a problem since long before services like Spotify and iTunes were available. Good luck with your approach. I hope you will become successful enough to convince other artists to join you.

with figures like these, why dont the artists wake up and smell the coffee? the studios and execs keep refusing to do anything different, refuse to add their sites for downloading and refuse to STOP suing people for alleged illegal downloading. they aren’t doing for the sake of the artists, they’re doing it to keep the mega bucks they get to continue! if the artists were the ones that were suffering, anyone would surely back them if it was proven that downloading was hurting them but when it’s the studios, no one gives a damn! if the artists were to fight the studios and get the courts to stop backing them and admit and punish the studios for what they are doing, it would be a different story. the studios dont even have to do anything themselves or prove they have done something to try to stop the downloading, the courts always fall on their side! it sure makes you think that a far amount of collusion is going on between the courts and the entertainment industries, what other reason would there be to keep ensuring the studios etc get exactly what they want every time?
