This article is not really complete. It is referring to a version of Stinger that has been made to specifically scan for variants W32/QQPass.worm and W32/Rjump.worm. These are the specific viruses that the scanner is checking for. w32/qqpass.worm is a virus discovered in the early summer but recently resurfaced on Video ipods. w32/Rjump.worm is a virus that has been around for a couple years but recently surfaced again back in August. Here is much better article about Stinger and these viruses: http://www.techtree.com/India/News/McAfee_Stinger_for_MP3_Players/551-76618-582.html Here is the direct link to download the Stinger version they are talking about: http://download.nai.com/products/mcafee-avert/QQPass-RjumpStinger.zip

Given what I personally have experienced with McAfee products, both personal and professional, there is no earthly possible way I would consider using this product. The only security product intheir arsenal that’s worth anything is a corporate IDS system which they bought recently. The rest simply does not do what is advertised. I avoid their products like the plague. You should too.
