I wonder if one day the internet will be available on a disk while wirelessly being written to. Now that’s science fictionl The internet would truly live up to its name.

I thought that was the basis of holographic media such as the one by InPhase and Colossal Storage… meh

I have already a deja-vue. Last year , two years before, Hack! even more than 3 years before there were braking news regarding a new revolution in optical media but after years passed I see no revolution in optical media maybe some in mechanical (hdd). So until I see in my superstore the 1 gig 5 bucks optical disk I remain skeptic

This sound great, at least for the future and large companys and all data they have. Great for large backup storing lots of movies, archiving etc. Perhaps a media like this would give us the cinema of the future (Imax) on all movies. Wouldn’t it be great if all movies where recorded in Imax. This would bring back the cinema and people would go there to watch movies :smiley:
