A good WinXP Reg Optimiser

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anyone knew of a good tool that would check my Registry and find invalid links and so on and optimise my Reg.

I have installed and un-installed a lot of stuff and my pc has slowed down somewhat.

I was looking at a tool called Registry healer and it looks like a good tool as it doesn’t just blindly delete Registry files but looks to correct invalid entries and tries to find matching folders and files that may have been moved.

I would be extremely grateful for any help or info you can give me.

Thanks in advance. :slight_smile:

JV16 powerTools is still one of the best( used to be freeware but is no distributed by macecraft) there is also a more limited version called regsupreme pro.

I use Registry Mechanic.

Thanks all for your suggestions, I really appreciate them.

@djmind

Thanks for your reply. I had a bad experience with Registry Mechanic and it screwed up my system, probably down to me not really knowing what I was doing but once bitten twice shy.

I shall look into the other progs though especially the freeware ones and see how I go.

Thanks all for your replies. :slight_smile:

I understand where you’re coming from…I have never had any problems with it, I hope I don’t in the future.
