A Bug's Life bug

This disc contains a 4x3 and 16x9 version. Both are showing as 4x3, even though one will preview at widescreen.

The link is a screenshot showing this.

DVDFab Platinum 4.0.2.0 Beta.

Alrighty then.

I don’t have this DVD, so I don’t know what they are doing. I suggest ripping in Full Disc mode to your hard drive, and try playing it from the hard drive with your choice of software DVD players. See if you can get both versions to play on your computer. If that works okay, it will probably work okay when burned and played on a standalone. If not, you may have to dig further. But try the easy stuff first.

Also, look around on the forum for others with similar issues. I think I saw other folks with similar problems with different movies.

thank you

ah, gotcha.

Hi,

The problem will be fixed in next release.

Best Regards,
Fengtao

I think it’s not bug.

About DVD which I have ( Bug’s Life. Region-2, Japan),

(1)When look at description in IFO file, it is 4:3, not 16:9. There is written like below.

Title Set (Movie) attributes:
Video: MPEG-2 720x480 (NTSC) (NTSC 525/60) (4:3) (not specified perm.display)

(2)When look at package,
It is bottom figure, and means 4:3. It would upper figure, if it is 16:9.

Sorry, if your DVD is different from my DVD.

Regards.

Seems the 16:9 is 4:3 source picture letterboxed or hard matted. You can convert to true 16:9 anamorphic using DVD Rebuilder, for example.

Regards

This issue still occurs for me under 4.1.2.0

FYI.
