9000 vs 9100 vs 9200 (non pro)

So which one…
9000 or 9100 or 9200

The models I am looking at are all 128MB non pro versions. I was leaning towards the 9100 but honestly I am not sure.

Any suggestions? (umong these cards only please, have to deal with a local retalier and of course they don’t have a Ti4200)

This will be my last question on video cards in awhile, I promise :stuck_out_tongue:

I’d say go for 9100, but get a 64MB version istead of 128MB ( you wount feel the difference and you’ll save some money ). Only make sure that your 9100 has 128 bit memory and not 64 bit. That would mean a huge lowdown.

If 64MB version is not available go for 9100 128MB.

Can’t get a 64MB version :frowning:

Are you sure that the 9100 is even made in a 64 bit version?..

Turns out the 9100 is just a 8500LE with a different BIOS.

It is better then the 9000 and 9200 though.

Found a great chart here.

but 128mb graphics card might work very well with forthcoming hyped-up doom 3 and half life 2 .

Yeah it’s true.

Playing DOOM3 on 9100 ( 64MB or 128MB ) means facing the mighty powers of 2 fps…

Well my mind keeps changing.

They didn’t have a 9100 in stock and can’t get them anymore! :a

I talked them into giving me a 9600 128MB for $40 off (they are selling it to me at cost) so I’m going with that puppy

Just make sure you don’t get the 9600SE or 9600 with 64bit memory.

No. It’s the regular 9600

Thats some chart. Pity I am on a 56K modem here. Looks liek I have a little wait to see everything.

Finally got it.

It seems that the GeForce cards win in half of the tests and the ATI one wins in the other half.

Oh well. Good source to have. I hope they keep it updated.

I doubt they will but it will work for now.

Even on my broadband connection it takes quite some time to load. Silly design to have it all on one page.
