10 minutes seem a tad bit much. My Ricoh R01 burns generally take me between 8:30 and 8:40. If you used 1.3.3 of OP, try repatching with 1.3.5 instead. Also, check to see if you are getting any buffer underruns during the burn (caused by the rest of your computer being unable to deliver data to the drive fast enough).
I took your advice and used OmniPatch 1.3.5, selected “Earlier Shift”, “Force Shifting”, and “Force re-calibration.” I also disabled my anti-virus software during the burn.
This time, the burn took 8:41. Many thanks.
