812S Burn Results by Newbie

Bear with me, this is my first DVD burner and backup. Trying to follow all guides for Kprobe, DVDinfopro etc as well as possible.
Hope my results are more helpful than confusing. Help me out if I set something up wrong…

Kprobe scan: scanned at 4X CLV, PI/PO Sum 8 ECC

Burned a 2nd DVD, no shrinking of files to fit on DVD this time - only burned main movie file. Not sure exactly how good the results are - maybe someone can shed some light on this for me?
Scan looks like crap toward the end - not sure what happened here.
Same media, burner info as above:

Perfect first media post…
You can post here as well next time.

Comment an your 2nd post.
Is it the same content (exact the same movie).?
Plays the recorded DVD on your stanalone player all the way (end)?

Remember, media quality can vary, even in one spindle/ batch…

I should not worry about some spikes here and there. If you look in this forum, there are scans of DVDs >900 POs, but they can play well…

… Now i jus need someone to interpret your results and explain em to me in noob format. Comapreable to NEC2500 ??

Thanks,

ARchV

Both DVDs burned used the same originally ripped files from the DVD I backed up.
Only difference was the 1st burned DVD had the menus + movie files (Nero Recode compressed if by about 4% to make it fit). 2nd burned DVD only had the movie file (no compression).

Quality on my standalone Sharp dvd player looks the same as the orig. Will play it through to the end to check, but so far all looks good - watched about half the movie.

The second scan indicates that there might be playback problems at the end of the disc. But CMC is well known for its variable media quality.

Weasle - anymore results or feedback on how you getting on with your 812s ?

Or anyone else - Do you any first hand experience with this unit ??

Please share,

Burned another disc @ 4x, same media info as the first post in this thread - just burned a data DVD in order to backup a bunch of random important files on my computer. Kprobe results look markedly better - must be related to the CMC media. But, I am happy with these results based on what little I know of how to read the scans.
