its a clarion radio and the model number is
PU-2294A©.
the manual just says to enter unlock code,
but i cant clear the “7 error” on the display in order to put in the code.

Are you certain the “7 error” message on the display has to be cleared before you can enter the code?

I’m not privvy to your particular radio, but in my Acura I don’t have to “clear” anything, I just key in the code and it works.

yeah, tried that.no joy. im going to try disconnecting the battery leads because thats what caused my problem[i think] in the first place.
so hopefully when i reconnect it will ask me for my 4 digit code.
if that doesnt work, well then its hammer time, and i dont mean
mc hammer. i mean 16lb sledge hammer.
seen a new one for 90euros. looks good.
or just wear my ipod while im driving.
